Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

Lyfey Technologies respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal and payment information we collect when you use our website and courses, and how we look after it.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number and country.
  • Enrolment and payment records: the courses you buy, amounts, dates and PayPal transaction references.
  • Learning progress for recorded courses.
  • Messages you send us through forms, email or WhatsApp.
  • Basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.

We do not see or store your card number. Card and PayPal payments are processed by PayPal, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.

2. How we use it

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To enrol you in courses and send receipts, joining details and class reminders.
  • To answer your questions and provide support.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To improve our courses and website.

We never sell your personal information.

3. Who we share it with

Only with service providers who help us run the academy, such as PayPal (payments), our email provider (account and enrolment emails), our hosting provider and error-monitoring service. Each receives only what it needs. We may also share information where the law requires it.

4. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and access to student records is limited to authorised staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account and enrolment records while your account is active, and payment records for as long as tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

6. Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
